To have a Smoke Free campus in order to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being at all ages.
Policy
Smoke-Free Environment
University is committed to provide a smoke-free environment within its premises. Smoking is strictly prohibited inside all buildings, including offices, meeting rooms, restrooms, hallways, and any other enclosed spaces.Smoking is not permitted in any outdoor areas of the university premises, including parking lots, walkways, and outdoor seating areas.
Enforcement
All employees and visitors are expected to comply with this Smoke Policy. Non-compliance will result in disciplinary action for students and employees, and visitors may be asked to leave the premises. Employees and students who repeatedly violate this policy may face further consequences, up to and including termination of employment and suspension from university, respectively.
Education and Awareness
University will conduct periodic education and awareness programs to inform employees and visitors about the Smoke Free campus.
Reporting Violations
Employees, students and visitors are encouraged to report violations of this policy to their immediate supervisor or a designated point of contact. All reports will be treated confidentially, and no retaliation will be tolerated.
University is committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment for all individuals. This Smoke Policy is an essential step in achieving this goal. It is the responsibility of all employees, students and visitors to respect and adhere to this policy for the benefit of everyone.
