The faculty members are proficient, and the state-of-the-art infrastructure provides an excellent learning platform. Additionally, the department hosts interactive sessions with prominent industry leaders, which contribute to the overall development of students.
The programs are ideal for students who aspire to pursue careers in Commerce, Auditing, Financial Reporting, Accounting, Corporate Finance, Financial Planning, Financial Markets, Risk Management, Banking, and Insurance. Every year, prominent companies such as Infosys, NIIT, Vodafone, Aditya Birla Group, BMW, Airtel, Citibank, and HCL recruit students from the department.
The Finance courses aim to introduce students to institutions, theories, and practices in Management and Leadership. They are designed to prepare students for a career in Financial Markets and Services. B.COM (Financial Markets) includes certification courses from the National Stock Exchange (NSE) Academy and provides in-depth knowledge of financial securities markets such as bonds, stocks, and commodities. The course equips students with knowledge of financial assets pricing, trading regulations, costs and fees in transactions, and market forces determining the pricing of securities.
The value of the four-year degree lies in the fourth year, where students can add to their "degree with research." Under the provisions of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the undergraduate degrees will be credit-based and available for digital storage. Students can drop out at different stages and re-enter the higher education system. The credits earned so far will be accounted for. The NEP 2020 provides a flexible study route in the higher education sector, allowing students to choose their academic journey with multiple entry and exit options. The four-year undergraduate degree encourages research-based learning and is similar to the higher education structure abroad.
