Examination Grievances & Redressal (To make the exam system transparent)
- Answer sheets are shown on pre-decided dates.
- Every student appearing for the University examinations is eligible to apply for Revaluation of Answer Booklets in all theory courses.
- There will be a single Notification from the office of COE (Website, LMS and Digital Notice board), inviting application from the students to apply for Revaluation of Answer Booklets mentioning the last dates.
- Students may apply for Revaluation well within the defined time, Once the last date is over, no additional time will be granted for applying to Revaluation.
- As per the procedure laid down by the University from time to time, the students may apply for Revaluation of Answer Booklets for any number of theory subjects along with necessary fees prescribed by the University from time to time
- On receipt of such applications as mentioned in COE shall initiate necessary action to re-evaluate the answer booklets as per recommendation received from the dean of respective schools.
- After the Revaluation, if the difference between the marks awarded in valuation and the revaluation marks is more than 15% then such and above such Booklets shall be evaluated once again by a different teacher (who has not evaluated the script in the first valuation/revaluation).
Student Facilitation Centre (SFC)
- Student Facilitation Centre (SFC) in all three blocks (A, B, and C) of the University which works as a single window for handling student grievances.
- These SFCs are being entrusted with grievance handling responsibilities of a fixed number of Schools located in the blocks exclusively.
- These SFCs shall be the first point of contact for handling Student Grievances about Academics, Examinations, ERP, and Accounts.
- Students will have to submit the grievances to respective SFC Block officers of their schools or report the grievances using the following tools:
- Using ERP – Student Portal (Grievance Module).
- Through the University Website under the tab online complaints.
- Through email address to grievance@galgotiasuniversity.edu.in (Student should log a complaint using the official email IDs only)
- All the reported grievances (in complete form) shall be resolved/addressed within 48 working hours from the date of registration.
Process and regulations for Unfair Means
Standard operating procedure for dealing with cases of unfair means:
A candidate found guilty of any of the following offences shall be deemed to have used unfair means and his/her examination result shall be withheld. The UFM committee appointed by the university shall after giving a personal hearing recommend the penalty.
Offences during the examination which amount to use of unfair means:
- Writing name or putting signature or any other mark in the Answer Sheet which may disclose, in any way, the identity of the candidate or writing Admission No./Enrolment No. in Answer Sheet at a place other than the space provided for it.
- Found sitting in a room or at a seat other than the allotted one without permission of the Centre Superintendent.
- Having in his / her possession of book(s), notes, papers or any other material connected with the examination.
- Receiving or giving assistance in copying or in any other form during the course of the examination.
- Smuggling in or out of the examination hall of Answer Sheet in whole or part or tampering with it in any way.
- Using abusive/derogatory language orally or in writing in the Answer Sheet against the Centre Superintendent/
- Examiner/Invigilator or threatening/using violence towards Centre Superintendent/ Invigilators.
- Impersonation, i.e. sending some other person to take the examination.
- Communicating with the examiner or any other person connected with the examination for favour.
- Any other type of misconduct or a deliberate previous arrangement to cheat in the examination.
- Writing questions and answers on any paper other than the Answer Sheet.
- Unethical and unlawful conduct with the faculty and staff involved in the conduct of examination.
- Any other case of Unfair Means detected at any stage during or after the examination.
