About the Programme
The M.Sc. Mathematics program offered by the School of Basic Sciences, is a two-year postgraduate degree designed to deliver rigorous research and training in both pure and applied mathematics. With a vision to become a global center of excellence in basic and applied sciences, the program integrates value-based education and fosters innovation through cutting-edge research. It aims to nurture talent by creating a diverse educational ecosystem that addresses real-world challenges through mathematical tools and reasoning. Spanning four semesters and comprising 80 credits, the curriculum blends foundational core courses with discipline-specific electives, research projects, and skill development modules. Core subjects include Abstract Algebra, Analysis, Differential Equations, Functional Analysis, Topology, and Mathematical Statistics, while electives cover emerging areas like Python Programming, Cryptography, Fluid Mechanics, Graph Theory, and Biomathematics.
