The School of Commerce (Galgotias University) organized a one day Workshop on Financial Education for Young citizen for the Financial exposure of the MBA, B.Com (H) final year students. The aim of program was to promote awareness in the financial and securities market, and capacity building among young students, National Institute of Securities Market (NISM) and Aditya Birla Securities, have initiated the ‘Financial Education for Young Citizen’ program in universities and colleges, across the country.

The School of Finance & Commerce, Galgotias University, organized a workshop on “Financial Education for Young Citizen – Kona Kona Shiksha” under the CSR initiative of Kotak Securities. The session was conducted on 27 and 28 September 2025 exclusively for MBA-FM final year students, with the objective of equipping young citizens with essential knowledge and skills for making informed financial decisions.
The workshop was facilitated by Dr. Shikha Gupta, a SEBI empanelled SMART Trainer, who brought deep insights into personal finance, financial markets, and investor awareness.

The students discussed their investment decisions related querries, savings instruments, retirement benefits provisions, short term incenvtives specially for stock market strategic moves, the session was analyzed in terms of PRE-QUIZ and post session POST-QUIZ.
The overall session was coordinated by Mr. Sandeep Kumar Sahu in consultation with Dean- School of Finance & Commerce.
