Brief Description

The event “Think Before You Click” was a quiz competition organized by Galgotias Sustainable Society (GSS) in collaboration with the Quizzard Club. The main objective of the event was to raise awareness about cybersecurity and the evolution of cyber laws, emphasizing the differences between old and new regulations. The session aimed to promote safe, ethical, and informed digital practices among students. 

Detailed Description

The event began at 2:00 PM in the New Auditorium and was graced by the presence of SHO Surendra Singh and SI Varun Kumar as the Chief Guests. The guests were warmly welcomed by faculty members, followed by an inaugural address highlighting the importance of cybersecurity in the modern digital landscape. 

The chief guests spoke about the real-world implications of cybercrimes, shared recent case experiences, and emphasised the need for young individuals to stay vigilant online. Their insights provided students with a practical understanding of how law enforcement addresses cyber threats and digital offenses. 

After the opening session, the quiz competition commenced. Conducted by the Quizzard Club under the supervision of GSS, the quiz featured three rounds. 

Participants actively engaged, demonstrating awareness and enthusiasm. The quiz encouraged students to think critically about online safety, digital rights, and evolving laws governing the internet. 

The event concluded with the declaration of winners, a short appreciation note by the hosts, and a vote of thanks. The chief guests congratulated all participants for their interest in understanding cybersecurity and responsible digital behavior. 

Event Outcome

The event was a great success, attracting over 160 participants. It effectively increased awareness about cyber laws, data protection, and safe digital practices. Students learned about the differences between outdated and modern cyber regulations and understood the importance of being responsible digital citizens. 

The presence of SHO Surendra Singh and SI Varun Kumar added significant value by providing real-world law enforcement perspectives. Their participation made the event highly informative and inspiring for attendees. 

The collaboration between Galgotias Sustainable Society (GSS) and Quizzard Club ensured smooth execution, engagement, and interactive learning. The event concluded on a positive note with students expressing gratitude for an enriching and awareness-driven session.
