Organic Farming Training and Organic Product Setup in Kanarsa Kanarsi

Galgotias University, in collaboration with the All India Agricultural Students Association-Uttar Pradesh (AIASA-UP), has organized a comprehensive organic farming training program in the village of Kanarsa Kanarsi. This initiative aims to educate local farmers on sustainable agricultural practices and promote the production of eco-friendly agricultural inputs such as Jeevamrit, vermicompost, and vermiwash. The training program is part of the university's broader commitment to fostering sustainable agriculture and ecosystem restoration, aligning with the objectives of World Environment Day 2024.
In addition to the training sessions, the partnership has facilitated the establishment of an organic product setup managed by Farmer’s Friend, a startup launched by agriculture students. This venture is financially supported by both Galgotias University and AIASA-UP, ensuring that the necessary resources are available for the project's success. The organic product setup includes production units for Jeevamrit, vermicompost, and vermiwash, all located in the field of Mr. Jeet Ram Singh, a progressive farmer in the region.
This collaborative effort not only provides hands-on training for local farmers but also supports the practical implementation of organic farming methods. By leveraging the expertise of academic institutions and student startups, the initiative aims to create a sustainable model that can be replicated in other regions. The involvement of Mr. Jeet Ram Singh ensures that the project benefits from local knowledge and experience, further enhancing its effectiveness and impact on the community.
