National Youth Day Celebration

Event brief description – Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) in collaboration with Department of Mass Communication and National Service Scheme (NSS), Galgotias University successfully organized " National Youth Day on 12 January, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 05:30 PM.

Event Detailed Description-

Total 42 participants including UG and PG students and faculties of Galgotias University were attended the session. The event was started with lightning the lamp and flower offering to Ma Saraswati and Swami Vivekananda. Dr. A. Ram Pandey, Head of the Department gave the welcome address and, in his speech, he mentioned about the life stories of Vivekananda and how his stories are inspirational for today’s youth. He also motivated students to practice the principles of Vivekanada to live an idealistic life.

Dr. Gaurav Kumar, In-charge, IIC also addressed the students and mentioned that “I am glad to be part of such a wonderful program. Till last year, we were not celebrating National Youth Day as per our IIC celebration calendar but now the ministry of education has included it. So, we are able to grace our presence.”

On this occasion, Department of Mass Communication has also organized a competition in various activities like poster presentation, poetry recitation and storytelling which were related with the works and glorious life journey of Swami Vivekanand. In this, students of different schools such as School of Finance and Commerce, School of Liberal Education and many more of Galgotias university were participated and the competition was judged by Dr. Tasha Singh Parihar, Dr. Bhawani Shanker and Dr. Mansi Sinha. The event was ended with the distribution of prizes to the students who secured their respective places in the competition along with the certificate of participation.

The event was anchored by Ms. Prerna, student of BAJMC and vote of thanks are given by Ms. Anjali Mehra, student of MAJMC, Department of Mass Communication.
