The School of Agriculture (SOAG), Galgotias University, successfully organized a National Workshop on “Career Counselling & Opportunities for Agriculture and Allied Graduates,” aimed at guiding students toward emerging pathways in the agricultural sector. The event brought together distinguished industry leaders and experts to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of career prospects, industry trends, and professional skills essential for future growth.
The workshop was graced by the Chief Guest, Mr. Prashant Armorikar, Additional Commissioner, who highlighted the vast scope of agriculture in the country’s development and the increasing need for skilled graduates in policymaking, agribusiness, extension, and technological innovation. He emphasized the importance of aligning academic training with field-level needs and encouraged students to actively participate in internships, government initiatives, and innovation-driven programs.
The Guest of Honour, Mr. Devan Bhalla, an award-winning brand builder and Associate Director (Marketing) at Attero, delivered an insightful address on the growing opportunities for agriculture graduates in sustainability, circular economy, marketing, and agritech sectors. He shared industry-oriented perspectives on building a strong personal brand, enhancing communication skills, and understanding market dynamics to succeed in competitive professional environments.
The workshop facilitated interactive discussions where students explored diverse career pathways, including agripreneurship, research and development, input industries, food processing, supply chain, rural development, and emerging green job roles. The resource persons motivated learners to develop a multidisciplinary outlook and adopt a proactive approach toward skill enhancement.
This national workshop significantly broadened students’ awareness of employment landscapes and reinforced SOAG’s commitment to empowering learners through professional development initiatives.
