On the 28th of August MBA students from the School of Business had the opportunity to visit Parle Biscuits Pvt. Ltd, located in Bahadurgarh. This visit was organized to provide students with practical insights into the operations of one of India’s most iconic FMCG companies. During the visit, students were taken on an informative tour of the production facility, where they observed the biscuit manufacturing process, including stages such as mixing, baking, and packaging. The visit allowed students to see firsthand the advanced machinery and technology that drive efficiency and quality at Parle. Additionally, the students engaged with the management team, gaining valuable knowledge about the company’s operational strategies, quality control measures, and sustainability initiatives. This visit was a highly educational experience, bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world industry practices, and offering students a deeper understanding of the dynamics of the FMCG sector.

The MBA students from the School of Business participated in a highly informative and engaging industry visit to Parle Biscuits Pvt. Ltd., Bahadurgarh, on the 28th of August. The visit was meticulously organized to provide students with a hands-on experience and a deeper understanding of the operations within one of India’s most renowned FMCG companies. Parle Biscuits, famous for its Parle-G brand, holds a significant place in the Indian market and has been a household name for decades. This visit aimed to give the students a closer look at the production processes, operational strategies, and management practices that have contributed to Parle’s enduring success.

Upon arrival at the Parle facility, the students were welcomed by the plant’s management team, who provided a brief overview of the company’s history, its growth trajectory, and its position in the FMCG sector. The introduction set the stage for an insightful tour of the manufacturing unit, which was the highlight of the visit. The students were guided through various sections of the plant, where they observed the entire biscuit production process, from the preparation of raw materials to the final packaging of products ready for distribution.

The tour began with a visit to the mixing department, where students saw how the basic ingredients like flour, sugar, and milk are mixed in precise proportions to create the dough. The use of automated systems and advanced machinery in this process was evident, showcasing Parle’s commitment to maintaining consistency and quality in its products. The next stop was the baking section, where the students witnessed the transformation of dough into perfectly baked biscuits through a series of high-capacity ovens. The baking process was explained in detail, with emphasis on the importance of maintaining specific temperature and timing to ensure the biscuits achieve the desired texture and flavor.

Following the baking process, the students were taken to the quality control and packaging section. Here, they learned about the rigorous quality checks that each batch of biscuits undergoes before being approved for packaging.
