The School of Computer Applications and Technology, Galgotias University organized an event to promote a healthy competitive environment in the school. The aim of this event was not only to search the coding talent inside every participant but also introduce them to their own weaknesses and strengths. Participants were also introduced to the concept of different technical rounds which is one of the steps of interview process for hiring. Benefits were in the favor of participants where they were given enough motivation to be a part of other events at a similar and higher level of competencies.
The event was structured to happen in three stages namely MCQ – Round I, Debugging – Round II and Coding – Round III. Top 50 participants from Round –I were shortlisted for Round – II and Top – 28 scorers were thus qualified for Round – III and finally the Top 3 contenders secured the winning position. A total of 164 students from different programs viz. BCA, BSc, MCA, MSc registered for the event. The event began at 10.20 AM with the online MCQ Quiz, next to it the Debugging round was organized at Lab – B-018 between 11.30 Am – 12.30 Pm. Afterwards the Coding round started at 02.00 Pm with the finalists at Lab – B -018. Finally, the valedictory ceremony took place at the Old Auditorium C-010 in the University Campus between 04.30 Pm – 05.30 Pm. Students were thrilled to participate in the competition as this was the first time such an event was organized in the institute.
The participants and the volunteers were addressed by Dean – SCAT with words of motivation and encouragement for their zeal and efforts during the prize distribution ceremony. Finally the session was concluded with a vote of thanks on a positive note and the students promised to prepare and up-skill themselves for future events and competitions.
