School of Biological and Life Sciences is established to promote teaching and research in the area of Biological and Life Sciences by presenting a world class ambiance of innovative and engaging teaching methods, globally benchmarked curricula, world-class faculty, and key partnerships in research. The School of Biological and Life Sciences offers a wide range of degree programs: BSc (Hons) programs in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Science, Zoology and Biological Sciences; MSc graduate programs in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Science, Biological Science and Zoology. The school presently runs Doctoral programs in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Zoology and Botany.
The UG and PG curriculums are meticulously designed with implementation of Choice Based Credit System, NEP2020 and UGC Curriculum framework guidelines. The School of Biological and Life Sciences is committed to innovative teaching pedagogy so as to facilitate better learning aptitude and foster the growth of critical thinking skills among the students. Our school has established biological laboratory furnished with adequate equipment and resource facilities. In addition, students and scholars have access to Galgotias University Library, Central Instrumentation Facility (CIF) and Animal research facility center, available at Galgotias University to support multi- disciplinary study and research. The school guides the students in professional skills, aptitude grooming, logic building, and communication skills and takes care of extra-curricular and co-curricular skills building.
We are a strong group of highly qualified faculties with exemplary academic and research back ground who have earned their Doctoral and post- doctoral credentials from prestigious national institutions. The School’s faculties actively undertake collaborative and interdisciplinary research in domains of Microbiology, Enzymology and Food Technology, Clinical Biochemistry, Neurodegenerative diseases, Cancer Biology, Immunology, Medical Microbiology, Molecular Virology and Host Pathogen Interaction. The School firmly believes in the power of outreach and collaboration to advance scientific knowledge and contribute to societal well-being. By actively engaging with industry and collaborative research papers with eminent scientists from well-established national and institutions, we endeavor to create meaningful partnerships that foster innovation and drive impactful outcomes to tackle complex challenges in the fields of biology and life sciences.
We continuously strive to create vibrant and exciting learning atmosphere by employing best practices in teaching, research, innovations. School regularly organizes distinguished lectures by national and international scientists and conducting Faculty Development Programs, “National Science Day” symposium, and Refresher Courses, Industrial Visits, Field Trips and Internships. Students are actively engaged and encourage for participation in nationwide co-curricular and extracurricular activities and, national and international Conferences in the frontier areas of biological and life sciences. Alumni of School of Biological and Life Sciences have made significant strides in their carrier in both research and industries in India as well as in abroad.
