The B.Sc. Medical Microbiology program aims to nurture scientific thinking, clinical awareness, and technical proficiency required to support modern healthcare systems, disease surveillance, and diagnostic services. Its academic strength lies in a well-structured curriculum that integrates core medical microbiology subjects with intensive practical training, emphasizing clinical relevance, biosafety, and quality assurance. The program is supported by experienced faculty, well-equipped laboratories, and exposure to current diagnostic and research techniques, enabling students to build a solid foundation for employment, higher education, and research. This program prepares graduates to meet the evolving challenges in medical diagnostics, public health, and biomedical sciences.
XII with Science with minimum 50% marks.
Students with a CUET score will be given preference in the merit list.
Graduates of the program are prepared for the following roles:
Key recruiting sectors include:
01
Develop strong foundational knowledge in medical microbiology, including bacteriology, virology, parasitology, and mycology, relevant to clinical diagnostics and disease control.
02
Train students in modern laboratory techniques and diagnostic procedures, ensuring competence in microbial identification, biosafety practices, and quality assurance in clinical laboratories.
03
Cultivate scientific thinking and analytical skills required for interpreting laboratory data and contributing to disease surveillance and public health management.
