The B.Sc. (Hons) Biotechnology program is an interdisciplinary undergraduate course designed to provide students with a comprehensive foundation in biotechnology. Combining principles from biology, chemistry, and engineering, the program equips students with the knowledge and technical skills necessary for success in the rapidly evolving biotechnology sector. The curriculum includes specialized electives and advanced topics, allowing students to tailor their education to specific interests such as medical biotechnology, environmental biotechnology, and Industrial biotechnology. Graduates are well-prepared for a variety of career paths in research, healthcare, agriculture, and industry, as well as for further studies in advanced degree programs. This program not only imparts theoretical knowledge but also emphasizes real-world applications, preparing students to address contemporary challenges and contribute to innovations in biotechnology.
NOTE: For selected 3 Year Undergraduate programs, you have the option to continue for 4th year to obtain an Honours with Research Degree.

Technical Proficiency in Biotechnology: Graduates will be proficient in using modern biotechnological techniques and tools to design, conduct, analyze, and interpret experiments in areas such as molecular biology, genetics, bioinformatics, and bioprocess engineering.
Application of Biotechnology in Industry and Healthcare: Graduates will be able to apply biotechnological principles and practices to develop sustainable solutions in various industries, including healthcare, agriculture, environment, and pharmaceuticals, addressing societal and environmental challenges.
