Duration
M.Sc. Biotechnology program is of two years duration study program and is divided into four semesters. Biotechnology is the branch of the science that deals with the detail study of biotechnological aspect of cytology, Genetics, Genetic engineering, Plant and Animal biotechnology. This program includes collecting information of Immunology, biochemistry, Enzymology etc. It also includes about the genetic diversity of the microorganism and different techniques of diseases detection. The students will also learn about the role of biotechnology in environment, medical and pharmaceutical and Genetic engineering and gene therapy etc.
Bachelor Degree in Basic Health or Allied Science with minimum 50% marks or equivalent
Students having CUET Score will be given preference in merit.
With a degree in Biotechnology, students can get job opportunities in various fields like healthcare organizations, forensic science laboratories, environmental organizations, higher education at institutions, food and beverages, publicly funded research organizations, pharmaceuticals and many other industries. Further students can explore opportunities to go for higher educations at national and international level (as research scholars).

Developing deeper understanding of key concepts of basic and allied branches of biotechnology such as Plant and Animal biotechnology, immunology, microbiology, biotechnology, clinical and industrial biotechnology.
Equip students with analytical and technical skills related to biotechnology and allied subjects through application-based learning such as use of audio-visual aids, problem/project-based learning, guest lectures, visits to industrial and academic organizations and to practice evidence-based biotechnology.
