About the Programme
The PhD program prepares students for independent work as teachers, scholars, and critics by developing their abilities to pose and investigate problems in the advanced study of Political Science. The program consists of four major components: coursework, teaching, fields exams, and the thesis writing. Together, these elements introduce students to a wide variety of conceptual understanding, critical evaluation of political phenomenon, application of research methodologies; provide extensive practice in research, discussion, argument, and writing; and develop pedagogical skills.
