About the Programme
Environmental Sciences is a field that studies natural processes that occur, their causes, and consequences. The Doctoral program in Environmental Science deals with the study of the environment in a chemical, biological, and physical context with emphasis on energy conservation, pollution, climatic changes, biodiversity, global warming and other emerging areas. It involves fieldwork as well as lab research and testing via experimental and modelling mode. Students will be able to use their research findings to develop policies that can help to protect the environment like desertification, global warming, melting of the glaciers in the Arctic cap, as well as the pollution of the land, air, and water. In addition, students can make use of their expertise to determine the effects of human activity on nature as well as the environmental impact.
