Dr. Kumar is an astute performer with proven expertise of 25 years, in devising and effectuating policies aimed at assuring smooth running of operations and execution of Academic, Research and Administration tasks within the Professional College/University premises, possessing potential for distinctive achievement through strategy, innovation, implementation and control.

He has held various senior level positions, including Academic Head AIIT Amity University, Noida, India; HoD (IT) Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology, Gr Noida, India; Dean Planning, Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology; Founder Dean, School of Computing Science and Engineering, Galgotias University, Greater Noida; Dean Planning, Galgotias University; and Chief Proctor, Galgotias University.He is currently Pro Vice Chancellor of Galgotias University, Greater Noida, UP, India.

He obtained his B.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering from H.B.T.I. Kanpur, U.P. India, M. Tech. in Information Technology from Punjabi University, Patiala, Punjab and Ph.D. in Computer Science& Engineering with specialization in Software Engineering from Thapar University, Patiala, Punjab, India. He isa member of Academic Council (AC), Executive Council (EC) and Planning Board at Galgotias University. He is associated with several other universities/institutes as an expert member of selection committee and member of Board of Studies (BOS).

His research area Includes: Aspect-Oriented Programming (AOP), Software Metrics, Software Quality, Component-Based Software Development (CBSD), Artificial Intelligence, Autonomic Computing and Network Security. He is a senior member of IEEE (USA), ACM (USA) and life member of Computer Society of India (CSI). He has published books/book-chapters/Patents and more than 60 research papers in SCI/Scopus indexed journals at International level. He is a reviewer of many reputed international and national journals and has delivered keynote address in many reputed international and national conferences. He also supervised 6 Ph. D. graduates and presently supervising 8 Ph.D. students. He received research grants from AICTE to establish the research labs.

He has delivered research/expert talks on Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, OBE andaccreditation processesin many countries likeUSA, Australia, Malaysia, and many others. He has visited Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, USA and University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, USA, as a member of high powered committee to understand their best academic processes and to explore opportunities for collaborations.
