ISIE (Go Karting)

ISIE, a prominent organization in India for electric vehicle (EV) skill development, E-mobility (vehicle design and manufacturing), EV events, professional certification, research, and publication, hosted the world's largest open innovation model, the "Smart India Hackathon 2022 Grand Finale-Hardware Edition," from August 25 to August 29, 2022. Galgotias University was proud to host the event, which was graced by Dr. Subhas Sarkar, the Honourable Minister of State for Education, Government of India, as the Chief Guest. Over the past few years, hackathons have become one of the largest platforms for solving the country's challenges.

During the event, the Honourable Prime Minister, SHRI NARENDRA MODI, interacted with the participants. The Vice Chancellor of Galgotias University, Dr. Preeti Bajaj, added to the event's charm with her sparkling presence. The university inaugurated the 5-day competition on August 25, 2022, and the Honourable Minister of State for Education addressed all the young innovators who came to Galgotias University. The university also inaugurated all 75 Nodal Centers of Smart India Hackathon 2022 Grand Finale.

Prof. Anil Sahasrabuddhe ji said that the Honourable Prime Minister had planted a seed in 2017, and today it has grown into a large banyan tree. Initially, only 25 to 30 hackathon centers were running, but now there are 75. We set a world record by organizing hackathons online even during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Smt. Monika S. Garg said that the hackathon programs would help in fulfilling the vision of the Prime Minister to make India a superpower by 2047.

The Smart India Hackathon 2022 brought the next generation of evolution by including new methodologies to inculcate the culture of startup and innovation ecosystems all over the world. The event attracted 140 participants from a total of 22 teams from states such as Andhra Pradesh, Orissa, Kerala, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, and Telangana. The team of six students from Galgotias University, including Yash Saxena, Sarthak Chopra, Aman Kumar Mishra, Prakhar Srivastava, Riya Mittal, and Esmit Srivastava, won the first prize in the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) for 2022. Their winning project, "Processing the Result with Computer Vision Technique," earned them a cash prize of Rs. one lakh.

The students' talent and karts were racing towards the finish line during the ISIE Go Kart Competition, making Day 1 memorable. The students were insatiably curious, creative, and innovative in their tricks to mark themselves as the best. The event went smoothly and was pulled off spectacularly.
