Guidelines
- Theme: The editorial board does not suggest any theme or topic for the volume. All submissions are welcome so long it is related to any contemporary Socio-legal issue.
- Word Limits- The prescribed word limits for the submission of articles/research papers are 1500- 8000 words including footnotes. The articles/research papers/case comment/Book Review must accompany an abstract in about 150-200 words along with a declaration that the article/research paper/case comment/Book Review has not been published or sent for publication elsewhere.
- Authorship- Entries can be co-authored. However, a maximum of two authors per entry is allowed. Entries from all aspects of law whether direct or applied are welcome.
- Main Text- Submissions must be in MS Word. Times New Roman, font size 12, spacing 1.5 and justified with a margin of 1.5 inch in left and 1.0 inch in right, top and bottom. Foot Notes- Times New Roman, Font size 10, spacing 1.0 and justified.
- Contributors must provide a Cover Letter to accompany the manuscript submission along with the subject “Submission for GJLS Vol ….. Issue …..”. The Cover Letter should include the following statements:
- I confirm that the citations in the attached manuscript are accurate.
- I confirm that I have read the submission policy and that my manuscript complies with the Journal’s submission policy.
- I confirm that any part of the manuscript does not violate any copyright of others.
- Citation- The Blue Book: A Uniform Method of Citation, 20th Edition should be strictly followed.
- Format of Submission- Please send in your submissions in MS/Open Word (*.doc OR *.docx), along with the following information:
- Article/case comment/Book review in the subject line
- Full Name of the Author, Contact Details, Title of the Paper in the Main Body along with a covering letter, Abstract and Full paper at gjls@galgotiasuniversity.edu.in
- The GJLS adheres to a "Blind Peer Review Policy" The journal bases its publication decisions mostly on the reviewers' comments and input, a plagiarism check, the article's significance to scholars and readers, and its contemporary relevance on the basis of the following criterion:
- Originality (addition to knowledge, argument originality)
- Research (breadth and depth of investigation, accuracy and extent of evidence)
- Understanding and presentation of literature
- Treatment of relevant theory or ideas and engagement with alternative arguments
- Style (organization, clarity, creativity).
The decision-making procedure adheres to the values of equity, secrecy, and impartiality. The Editorial Committee takes exacting measures to guarantee that manuscripts are evaluated exclusively on the basis of their intellectual content, without regard to the authors' gender, caste, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy.
