Smart India Hackathon 2022
Galgotias University, located in Greater Noida, organized the largest "Smart India Hackathon 2022", where students identified various problem statements related to water supply management, environment safety, and city surveillance in different departments of the city. The first round of the hackathon involved students from different countries submitting their ideas and prototypes in the form of presentations. Only a few teams were shortlisted for the offline phase, which was held at the university campus from August 25th to August 26th, 2022.
Teams arrived at the venue on August 24th and completed their registration process with their mentors. The offline event started on August 25th, where everyone assembled at the venue for the inauguration of the "Grand Finale of Smart India Hackathon 2022". The ceremony began with the lamp lighting, and our honorable chairman, Mr. Suneel Galgotia, addressed the guests. The further speech was presented by the guest of honor and the chief guest of the venue. The local inauguration ended, and the nodal center connected to the central inauguration, where domain experts and technical experts were invited as mentors for the event.
The chairman of AICTE, Prof. Anil D Sahasrabudhe, the founder and chairman of Persistent System, Dr. Anand Deshpande, a Shell representative, an AWS representative, and the Secretary of Higher Education, Ministry of Education were invited as mentors for the event. At the end of our noble education ministry, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan guided the students along the path, which helped students explore more on the project. And at the end, Prof. M.P. Poonia, Vice Chairman of AICTE, thanked the students for their great effort and hard work. He said, "You students are the future of our country, and I'm so pleased to see that our country is going to have a bright future."
