Galgotias University organized an insightful orientation program titled “Script Writing: Art of Storytelling” on September 13, 2024, for the batch of 2024-25. The event, held at the School of Media and Communication Studies (SMCS), was aimed at introducing students to the essential techniques of crafting compelling narratives through scriptwriting.
The session featured a prominent scriptwriter and media professional who shared their experiences and insights on how storytelling forms the backbone of any media production. Mr. Sumit Singh, a veteran scriptwriter, emphasized the importance of character development, plot structure, and emotional engagement in creating impactful scripts. Students were also introduced to the importance of understanding the target audience, genre conventions, and the significance of dialogue in conveying the essence of a story.
