The Department of Electrical, Electronics and Communication Engineering hosted a vibrant Rangoli making and Diya painting competition, “Rangoli se Roshni तक” by ACME, the Cultural & Technical Society, at C-Block Ground floor, Galgotias University Campus, Greater Noida on 22 October 2024.
The Department of Electrical, Electronics and Communication Engineering hosted a vibrant Rangoli making and Diya painting competition, “Rangoli se Roshni तक” by ACME, the Cultural & Technical Society, at C-Block Ground floor, Galgotias University Campus, Greater Noida on 22 October 2024.
The participants were undergraduate students from all the Schools of Galgotias University. 76 entries were registered. The event aimed to celebrate creativity and cultural heritage, coinciding with the festive spirit of Diwali.
The competition saw enthusiastic participation, with students forming teams to showcase their artistic skills in both Rangoli and Diya painting. The atmosphere was filled with excitement as students worked diligently to create intricate designs and colourful patterns.
The competition was evaluated by a panel of 8 esteemed judges including Dr. Sudhir Singh, Dean School of Engineering, Dr. Meenakshi Awasthi, Head DEECE, Dr. Usha Chauhan, Dr. Sheetla Prasad, Dr. Shubhra, Dr. Indu, Mr. Infant Leo, Mr. Satyam Mishra who assessed the entries based on creativity, originality, use of colours, and overall presentation. The judges provided valuable feedback and encouragement to all participants, fostering a spirit of camaraderie and artistic expression. The event co-coordinators were Dr. Seema Garg and Dr. Komal Agrawal.
A special note of appreciation goes to the dedicated volunteers Nitesh Kumar Pal, Deepak Kumar, Anirudh Dwivedi, Md. Adnan Khan, Aakansha Joshi, Praveen Kumar, Nilesh Singh, Yash Yadav, Tanusha, Manish Mandal, Dolly and Shalini who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the smooth execution of the event. The success of this competition would not have been possible without their invaluable support.
The competition not only highlighted the artistic talents of the students but also fostered a sense of community and celebration within the department.
Event Outcome: The Rangoli making and Diya painting competition was a resounding success, leaving participants and attendees with cherished memories and a deeper appreciation for the cultural significance of these art forms. The Department of Electrical, Electronics and Communication Engineering looks forward to organizing more such events in the future to encourage creativity and teamwork among students.
