R Programming for Research (18th - 22nd December 2024)

Event Date: 18th - 22nd December 2024

Introduction The Centre of Excellence for Business Analytics at Galgotias University conducted a comprehensive 5-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “RProgrammingforResearch”from December 18th to December 22 nd , 2024. This program aimed to equip faculty members with

advanced statistical and programming skills, enabling them to incorporate data-driven insights into their academic and research work. The program featured both internal experts and distinguished external resource persons, offering participants a balanced blend of theoretical knowledge and practical expertise.Center Of Excellence For Business Analytics is Headed by Dr. Neeraj Bali.

ProgramObjectivesThe primary objectives of the FDP were:

  1. Tointroduce participants to foundational and advanced concepts in statistical modeling and data analysis.Descriptive analytics and fundamentals of research was also covered.
  2. Toenhance the application of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), mediation, and moderation analysis in research.
  3. Toprovide hands-on experience with Multiple Linear Regression (MLR) and other analytical techniques using R.
  4. Tofoster a data science mindset through collaborative learning and industry project

ParticipantsandTrainersThe FDP saw active participation from faculty members across various disciplines. The sessions were led by a blend of internal faculty and external experts:

InternalTrainers:

  • Neeraj Bali (Business Analytics)
  • Bala Shiwangi (IT)
  • Priyanka Malik (Business Analytics)
  • Palak Gupta (Business Analytics)
  • Ajeet Kumar (Business Analytics)

ExternalTrainers:

  • Sonakshi (M.Sc. in Statistics)
  • Anshul Ujliyan (Ph.D. Statistics)
  • Ayush Saini (Machine Learning Engineer, OneSec Delivery Inc., Switzerland)
