National Workshop on Research Analysis Tool Using R

5.Event Detailed Description- On the 6th of July 2024, the Central Library of Galgotias University successfully organized a workshop titled "Conducting Research Using R." The workshop aimed at enhancing research skills among participants using the R programming language. The event witnessed a commendable turnout with a total of 308 participants, including 35 in-person attendees and 273 online participants who joined via Zoom.

The sessions were conducted by two renowned experts in the field:
Dr. Amit Tiwari, Professor at Delhi University, who provided insights into the application of R in various research domains.
Dr. Mohit Garg, from IIT Delhi and Community Organizer of R4SocialScience, who led the practical sessions and demonstrated real-world use cases of R.
Workshop Details
The workshop began with registration and a high tea session where participants had the opportunity to network and interact with each other, fostering a collaborative environment.
The event was officially inaugurated with a welcome speech by Dr. Shantanu Ganguly, who emphasized the significance of research tools in the modern academic and industrial landscapes.
Dr. Amit Tiwari kicked off the workshop with an introduction to the R programming language, covering the basics and its applications in data analysis and statistical modeling. He provided a comprehensive overview of R’s capabilities in handling various research methodologies.
Participants enjoyed a lunch break, which offered an opportunity for further networking and informal discussions.
Dr. Mohit Garg conducted a hands-on session, where participants engaged in practical exercises using R. The focus was on real-world applications, including data visualization and advanced statistical analysis. Online participants followed along using the provided Zoom meeting links.
The workshop concluded with a quiz to reinforce the learning outcomes. Participants were encouraged to share their feedback and experiences. Certificates of participation were distributed to all attendees.
