National Space Day celebration

Event Date: 23rd August 2024

School of Education, Galgotias University, Greater Noida celebrated National Space Day on 23.08.2024 in the room no B303 with great enthusiasm and excitement.

This day marks a historic milestone in India's space journey. On this day the country successfully landed its Chandrayaan-3 Vikram Lander on the lunar south polar region in 2023. To commemorate this remarkable achievement, the Government of India has declared August 23 as the ‘National Space Day’. The main objectives of this event are to use space-related activities to develop essential skills like teamwork, leadership, and time management among students and also to make learning fun. For this, the celebration is engaging, interactive, and enjoyable, using activities like quizzes, model exhibition competitions, and PPT presentation to learn about space exploration.

All activities were performed by the third-semester B.Ed. and M.Ed. students of session 2024-25. Muskan Sharma spoke on importance of National Space Day. Akansha Patel delivered inspiring speeches on the significance of National Space Day. Model exhibition conducted where students showcased their creativity and knowledge by presenting their self-made models and delivering informative speeches on the significance of space exploration. 5 groups are participated on this Model exhibition competition, each group have 5 members. Orion Group (Nidhi, Noopur, Mahima, Sonal, Shristi) secured 1st position, Stary Dreamers group (Akansha, Alisha, Riya, Tilika, Tannu) secured 2nd position and Shiv Shakti groups (Anjali, Shaurya, Khusi, Shalini, Vishakha, Muskan) secured 3rd position in this competition. A quiz competition was conducted to assess students' knowledge and understanding of space-related concepts. The quiz was designed to be engaging, challenging, and

informative, covering various aspects of space exploration. The celebration was a resounding success, with students demonstrating their creativity, knowledge, and enthusiasm for space-related subjects. The event encouraged teamwork, public speaking, and critical thinking skills, making it a valuable learning experience for all participants.
