Hon'ble Mr. Justice Dipak Misra inaugurated the Legal Aid Clinic at School of Law Galgotias University on April 26, 2014. The Legal Aid Clinic has been set up in collaboration with the UP State Legal Service Authority in order to give effect to the policy and directions of the National Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987 and the National Legal Services Authority (Legal Aid Clinics) Scheme, 2010. The School of Law, Galgotias University established the Students Legal Aid Clinic to provide free legal aid to the poor, needy persons and the members of the weaker sections of the society. The Clinic has conducted legal awareness programs among people particularly illiterates and economically weaker section of the community, living in remote backward areas near the Law School and has created awareness about their legal rights and duties and to make them aware of the availability of various social welfare activities sponsored by the State and Central Government. Legal Aid Clinic of Galgotias University has been awarded with top ten best legal aid clinics title of India by Knowledge Steez Edu Hub in year 2018 and year 2019. The clinic is also awarded with title of Legal Aid Emerging 2020-21 by Allahabad University and Droit Penale Group at 4th National Symposium & Awards on 9th and 10th January, 2021.

Mediation Cell
Legal Aid Clinic and Mediation Center was established with the vision of developing and training students in alternative methods of dispute resolution and reducing the burden of courts in India. This mediation cell will facilitate dispute resolution in a timely manner with no cost . Students will also learn the alternative ways of access to the justice system and enhance their practical skills of mediation. The mediation center was inaugurated by Hon’ble Dr. Justice KJ Thaker, Judge, High Court of Judicature at Allahabad, in esteemed presence of Justice (Retd.) JR Midha and Mr. Rajeev K. Virmani, Senior Advocate, on 3rd September, 2022.
Right to Information Cell
Corruption has been increasing in our country rapidly. People are not aware of the ways in which the public funds were being utilized. Thus, it is necessary to educate people about their right to information which helps them to gain information from the central or state government.
Legal Awareness Cell
People are still not aware of their basic rights due to which the legal aid movement has not achieved its goal yet. It is the absence of legal awareness which leads to exploitation and deprivation of rights and benefits of the poor.
Women Empowerment Cell
There are many challenges that are currently plaguing the issues of women's rights in India. A lot of issues are prolonged and quite basic which has been faced across the country; they are contributory causes to the overarching status of women in India.
Prison Reform Cell
It is very important to know and spread awareness that prisoners also have certain rights like speedy trial, meeting their lawyers, etc.
Pro Bono Club
On the directions of Department of Justice Under Nyaya Bandhu scheme, Pro Bono club is established in School of Law, Galgotias University. Pro Bono Club (PB club) Scheme, has been conceptualized by DOJ to strengthen the existing pro bono programme, by integrating law schools and students within its fold.

MEMBERSHIP
The committee is constituted afresh every year with new members, senior members and 1st year members. Members and seniors can apply to this Committee by mentioning their relevant work inside and outside School of Law, Galgotias University, during the previous academic year. In contrast, first year members are chosen based on an application and an interview.
