International Day for Biological Diversity Celebration -23rd May 2022.

Department of Biosciences School of Basic and Applied Sciences in association with NSS Unit- संरक्षणसदासर्वदा, Galgotias University successfully celebrated “International Day for Biological Diversity" on 23rd May 2022. The theme of this day was “Building a shared future for all life” as per Convention on Biological Diversity. The United Nations has proclaimed May 22 the International Day for Biological Diversity (IDB) to increase understanding and awareness of biodiversity issues. 

Total of 118 participants including UG, PG, and 17 faculties of the University were participated for this event. 

The event is Inaugurated in the presence Prof. Prof. A. K. Jain, Dean, SBAS, Prof. Anuradha Singh, Mr. Mr. Kaushalendra Kumar. All the dignitaries delivered the preamble of the event and discussed about the International Day for Biological Diversity celebration. Mrs. Vinny Sharma, Coordinator NSS Unit-संरक्षणसदासर्वदासंरक्षणसदासर्वदाdelivered her view on this occasion. She also motivated the participants and ask them to take pledge to start taking care of Land and Aquatic environment from small level of initiatives. In second session students actively participated in oral talk followed by open quiz and poser presentation. Students were actively participated in all the competition got prizes. In the valedictory session, participants received the participation certificates and taken the oath to conserve the Biological Diversity in our environment. The session was ended with Vote of Thanks by Dr. Vijay Mohan, Assistant Professor, Department of Bio Sciences, SBAS.
