Haier Industrial Visit

Objectiveof the visit:

Students got to chance to interact with manufactures, product advisors, Manager planning, Manager Sales and Marketing and gained the knowledge towards their technology in manufacturing, assembling and testing of washing machines and refrigerators.

BriefSummary:

Haier Group Corporation is a Chinese multinational home appliances and consumer electronics company headquartered in Qingdao, Shandong. It designs, develops, manufactures and sells products including refrigerators, air conditioners, washing machines, dryers, microwave ovens, mobile phones, computers, and televisions. The home appliances business, namely Haier Smart Home, has seven global brands – Haier, Casarte, Leader, GE Appliances, Fisher & Paykel, Aqua and Candy.

The industrial visit was held to raise awareness of how a company operates and to gain a general understanding of the manufacturing processes and technological breakthrough in today’s cutthroat marketplace.

Outcome:

1. Students got an insight of the industry being their first ever visit.
2. They were exposed to the process behindmanufacturing, assembling, and testing of the appliances.
3. They got to know the key features to be analyzed before buying the products in this category.
4. Acquaintance with the global sales and marketing strategies.
