Financial Awareness Cum Donation camp

The School of Finance and Commerce, Department of Galgotias University organized a Financial Awareness Camp at Nirman Vihar Human Peace Foundation on 28th April. The aim of the event was to promote financial literacy among the residents. Prior to the event, the departments collected 20 bed sheets for donation. A team of 12 members from Galgotias University arrived at the location at 12:30 PM to conduct the camp. The team donated the bedsheets along with some fruits. The camp was well-received, and the residents actively participated in the interactive session. Various topics related to the banking sector were discussed during the session. One member spoke about the usage, threats, and precautions of Automated Teller Machines (ATMs). Another member highlighted the benefits of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). The procedure for opening a savings account was explained by another member. Additionally, topics such as banking sector frauds, Unified Payments Interface (UPI), the demerits of debit cards, and the difference between debit and credit cards were also covered.
Overall, the event was fulfilling and impactful, leaving a positive impression on both the residents and the participating team members.
