Financial Awareness Camp

Event Date: 29^th August 2024

The event was organized by the School of Finance and Commerce, Galgotias University, Greater Noida, UP. Ten students from the School of Finance and Commerce, Galgotias University, along with one faculty member, visited the "Kailash Satyarthi Children Foundation, Chhatarpur, New Delhi" on 29/08/2024 at 12 PM. The students presented various topics to raise awareness about financial literacy, and at the end, they distributed notebooks and pens (study materials), followed by a small gathering with Frooti and samosas.

The School of Finance and Commerce organized a brief educational session on financial literacy for the betterment of students and their parents. The following activities were organized and performed by students during the session:

Event Activities:

Notebook and Pen (Study Material) Distribution:

• Donations of notebooks and pens to students studying at the Kailash Satyarthi Children Foundation, New Delhi.
• Distributed notebooks and pens to every student, ensuring equitable distribution.
• Organized social and cultural activities for the holistic development of underprivileged children.

Educational Session:

A brief educational session on financial literacy was conducted for the benefit of students and their parents.

The session covered topics such as:

1. Basic financial education
2. Budgeting and financial planning
3. The relationship between saving and investment
4. How to start new innovations and startups
5. A motivational session on how to become successful in life
6. The importance of education in life

Social and Cultural Activities:

1. Organized games, storytelling, and interactive sessions to foster social skills and teamwork.
2. Shared cultural knowledge, traditions, and performances for holistic development.
