The Department of Pharmacy, School of Medical and Allied Sciences at Galgotias University, in collaboration with the University of Cyberjaya, Malaysia, successfully organized a Faculty Development Program (FDP) titled “Emerging Trends and Techniques in Research Paper Writing and Conferring Intellectual Property Rights”

This event was held from 6th to 10th August 2024. The program featured insightful sessions by experts, focusing on the latest trends in research methodology and the significance of intellectual property rights in academia. The event attracted a diverse group of faculty members, providing them with valuable knowledge to enhance their research and academic endeavours. A total number of 652 Faculty delegates were actively participated and fulfilled the criteria of for the release of Certificate from 7 countries includes 25 states of India, UK, Iraq, Malaysia, Algeria, Saudi Arabia.

Day 1: Inaugural Ceremony and Opening Invited Talk

The inaugural ceremony began promptly at 10:30 AM, welcoming participants and guests with a warm reception. The event featured a series of influential speeches, starting with Dr. Gaurav Kumar, IIC Head, who spoke on "Innovation & Entrepreneurship @GU," setting the tone for the day's proceedings.

Following this, Dr. S.K. Abdul Rahaman, Dean of SMAS at Galgotias University, delivered a heartfelt welcome address, laying the groundwork for the ceremony. The inaugural address was given by Dr. David Whitford, Vice Chancellor of the University of Cyberjaya, Malaysia, who shared insights into global academic collaboration and innovation.

The highlight of the event was addressed by Prof. (Dr.) Avadesh Kumar, Pro Vice Chancellor of Galgotias Universityand expressed on the theme of event is very opt to succeed in Global and Indian Rankings.

Prof. (Dr.) K. Mallikharjuna Babu, Vice Chancellor of Galgotias University emphasized the university’s dedication to promoting innovation and achieving academic excellence, underscoring the institution’s commitment to advancing educational standards and fostering a culture of excellence.

The first invited talk of the International Faculty Development Program (FDP) featured Dr. Vijay Mishra, Professor at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Lovely Professional University, Punjab. In his engaging presentation titled "Comprehensive Study and Formulation of Research/Review Title Based on Project-Based Learning", Dr. Mishra offered valuable insights into enhancing research projects within educational frameworks. His talk emphasized effective strategies for structuring research projects, utilizing project-based learning to improve academic outcomes and foster a deeper understanding of complex subjects. This session set a high standard for the FDP, providing attendees with practical tools and methodologies to elevate their own research and teaching practices.
