Innovative Teaching & Learning Techniques in Nursing: The 5-Day Faculty Development Program (FDP) titled Innovative Teaching & Learning Techniques in Nursing was organized by Galgotias School of Nursing from 23/07/24- 27/07/24. The program aimed to enhance the teaching skills of faculty members and provide them with the latest knowledge and tools in their respective fields. The FDP saw participation from [05] faculty members across various disciplines.
Objectives
- To update faculty with the latest trends in Nursing.
- To enhance teaching and pedagogical skills.
- To promote student learning.
- To facilitate networking among faculty members from different institutions.
Planning and Preparation
Day-wise Overview
Day 1: Inauguration and Introduction
The program commenced with an inauguration presided over by Dr. Lekha Bist Dean (Prof) Galgotias school of Nursing. The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Anjum Abbasi, Associate Professor & Organisor of FDP of Galgotias School of Nursing. The first day focused on various teaching methods, with sessions led by Mr. Alex James Associate Professor of Graphic Era College of Nursing, Graphic Era University Bhimtal on the topic Pedagogical Technique for interactive classroom
Day 2: Pedagogical Innovations
The second day emphasized pedagogical innovations and effective teaching strategies.

Day 3: Implementing Live Engagement tools, Creating live polls, Quizes, Q& A
Day three was dedicated to Student participation in class & various assessment tools. The sessions covered Various quizes & pattern of questionnaire
Day 4: Technology in Education
The fourth day explored the integration of technology in education. Sessions included like AI, digital tools etc. Participants learned about the latest tools and technologies that can enhance the learning experience.
Day 5: Feedback and Valedictory
The final day included a last day of external speaker session on Efficient Evaluation & feedback session taken by Dr.(Prof.) Manju Rajput Principal GNIOT Institute of Medical Science & Research (GIMSAR) Greater Noida
After the session participants shared their experiences and suggestions. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr.
Anjum Abbasi. Online Certificate provided to the speaker (External/Internal) at next day
