Earth Day Sustainable Innovation Challenge
Event Date: 22nd April 2024
The Earth Day Sustainable Innovation Challenge, hosted by the School of Business, is a vibrant event aimed at inspiring sustainability through creativity and innovation.
Two main activities drive the challenge: the Best out of Waste Competition and the Collage Making Contest. In the Best out of Waste Competition, participants repurpose discarded materials into functional and artistic creations, showcasing the potential of upcycling and waste reduction. Meanwhile, the Collage Making Contest prompts participants to use recycled materials to craft visually impactful pieces that raise awareness about environmental issues. These activities encourage participants to rethink their approach to waste and consumption while promoting reflection on the importance of environmental conservation.
Through these engaging activities, participants not only showcase their creativity but also foster a culture of sustainability within the academic community. Participants gain insights into sustainable practices, explore new avenues for innovation, and forge connections with like-minded individuals and organizations committed to environmental sustainability.
The Earth Day Sustainable Innovation Challenge serves as a catalyst for positive change, inspiring students and faculty to integrate sustainability principles into their studies, research, and daily activities. By participating in the challenge, individuals contribute to building a culture of sustainability, inspiring others to take action and fostering positive change within their communities and beyond. Through creativity, collaboration, and innovation, participants demonstrate their dedication to protecting the planet and creating a more sustainable and equitable world for future generations.
