Carbon Reduction and Emission Reduction Process

Galgotias University strives to continue in the journey to preserve the natural resources such as energy, water and air as our Environment Policy. We had adopted some of the best practices and methodologies in order to be one of the best green campuses in this region. Apart from providing a pollution free environment that adds to the better learning environment, the Galgotias green campus serves as a platform to educate, train and maintain the need and standards of sustainability. The carbon reduction and emission reduction process indicator are included in our policy as:

• To grow and maintain the Campus Garden.
• To make the facilities for Right disposal of waste material.
• To adopt the Refuse, reduce, reuse, re-purpose and recycle policies in campus.
• To provide dustbins in all floors, blocks and cafeterias, so that the solid wastage is disposed regularly.
• To encourage the usage of smart transportation like battery operated vehicle within the campus for movement of one block to another.
• To encourage students to organize and participate tree plantation campaigns and green campus campaigns.
• To use pathways in the lush green lawns, so that that the greenery is kept protected.
• To save conventionally produce electric energy by use of non-conventional source of energy.
• The University also has well established bio medical waste policy and agreement for the disposal of bio medical waste as generated.
