Blooms Taxonomy

Department of Electrical, Electronics and Communication Engineering has organized a Seminar titled Cognitive processes of Revised Bloom's Taxonomy .The event was conducted on 5th Oct, 2023 (Thursday) from 11:00 noon to 12:00pm. Approximately 35 faculty attended this Seminar.

The presentation began by Dr. Huma Khan explaining the original Bloom's Taxonomy, which included six hierarchical cognitive levels, and emphasized the importance of understanding these levels to foster effective learning.

Dr. Huma Khan then highlighted the need for a revision of Bloom's Taxonomy. The outdated nature of the original model and its limited applicability in the modern education system were discussed.

The heart of the presentation focused on the revised Bloom's Taxonomy, which comprises six cognitive processes, ordered from lower-order thinking skills to higher-order thinking skills.

The event on the revised Bloom's Taxonomy presented by Dr. Huma Khan was a resounding success. Attendees left with a profound understanding of the taxonomy, its significance in modern education, and practical strategies for its implementation. The presentation fostered a stimulating environment for learning and encouraged critical thinking.

Event was hosted on Zoom portal through online mode and managed flawlessly by Ms Ankita Bajpai.
