Agile Environment Developers Perspective

On August 16, 2024, the Software Engineering Research Group, led by Dr. Shambhu Kumar Jha and Dr. Avneesh Chauhan, hosted an online expert talk titled "Agile Environment: A Developer's Perspective." Dr. Upasna Sharma, a Senior Project Manager at Tata Consultancy Services, led the session. She provided insights into the Agile development methodology, which emphasizes iterative progress and customer-centric development. Dr. Upasna Sharma explained Agile's benefits and challenges, supported by real-life examples and problem-solving scenarios. She also highlighted career opportunities in the Agile field. The session was attended by over 50 students and faculty members and concluded with gratitude expressed to Dr. Upasna Sharma.
The Expert talks Title “Agile Environment : A Developers Perspective “was organised by Software Engineering research Group under the joint coordinator ship of Dr. Shambhu Kumar Jha and Dr. Avneesh Chauhan on 16th August, 2024 at 3.10 PM in online mode. The expert Dr. Upasna Sharma designated as Sr. Project Manager from Tata consultancy Service addressed the students. She has very good expertise in successfully planning, controlling, executing, and closing diverse IT projects.
She started her address by explaining about Agile development methodology which is used in software development that emphasizes flexibility and high customer-centricity. Instead of delivering a complete product at once, Agile focuses on delivering small, incremental updates called "iterations" or "sprints." Each sprint typically lasts between one to four weeks and results in a working piece of software that can be tested, reviewed, and improved upon in subsequent sprints. She also discussed about various benefits and challenges about Agile Development methodology including She elaborated the concepts by talking various live example and real-time problem-solving examples. She also discussed about various career opportunity available in this field. About more than 50 students and both the faculty coordinator participated in the expert talk. The talk was concluded with thanks giving to the expert and she was also requested for participation in various University activity as Industry expert.
