4th National Symposium on Next Generation Science and Technology on the occasion of National Science Day (Theme: Global Science for Global Wellbeing)

Event brief description – Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) in collaboration with Division of Life Sciences, School of Basic & Applied Sciences, Galgotias University successfully organized "4th National Symposium on Next Generation Science and Technology on the occasion of National Science Day (Theme: Global Science for Global Wellbeing)” on 28 Feb.-01 March, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 05:30 PM.
Event Detailed Description-
More than 140 participants including UG and PG students and faculties of Galgotias University were attended the session.
The program started with lamp lightening and Ganesh Vandana. After that welcome speech delivered by Prof. A.K Jain, Dean, SBAS and highlight about the importance of National Science Day on the Theme of Global Science for Global Wellbeing: Wellness is the complete integration of body, mind, and spirit – the realization that everything we do, think, feel, and believe has an effect on our state of well-being.
The motto of this Event is to signify the role of science in society and the need to engage the wider public in debate on emerging scientific issues.
A total of 125 participants from Galgotias University registered for the event. During this event, eminent experts from Industry and academia guided the participants on various aspects of research in Science and Technology. Also, the queries of the participants were well addressed by the speakers. During this national science day Program. Many participants also requested to arrange similar Events in the future. A Certificate was also issued to the participants who successfully joined, completed and finalized Event.
Session 1 National Science Day schedule was started by the efforts of invited speakers Dr. Mohd Amir (Post-Doctoral Scientist, Division of Plant Pathology IARI, New Delhi), He discuss about the molecular aspect of plant-pathogen interaction, and other innovative approaches to control plant diseases including (Bio-control aspects of microbes) and analyzing the molecular networks involved in plant disease signaling using computational tools and techniques.
After that started the discussion with the participant with the speaker related to their expertise in field of science. In Between the oral presentation was done by B.Sc. Biomedical first year student Archi Mugdal and third year student Umer Ahmed Khan.
Next invited speakers Dr. Payal Gulati from National institute of Immunology, New Delhi. She has discussed about the Electrochemical study of model Ab-Ag interaction on porous silicon substrate for the development of immunosensor.
Next day invited speakers Dr. Rajesh Kumar Singh (Senior Scientist, Biotechnology Division, CSIR-Institute of Himalayan Bioresource Technology, Palampur-176061, Himachal Pradesh, INDIA).He has focused on the understanding the role of sugars in regulating the phenylpropanoid pathway, find the central regulators and show their positive relation with sugar levels in potato tubers in the seasonal regulation of growth in plants.
In between discussion session continued with the participants and BSc and MSc students were participated in poster presentation and Rangoli competition.
The event was finally concluded with Prize distribution of different competitors by Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. Mallikarjun Babu and Registrar sir Dr. Nitin Gaur (list attached). They encourage the students for Research and innovation. Finally vote of thanks by Dr. Anuradha Singh, Division Chair, Life sciences.
The program was concluded at 5.30:00 PM and all participants got multiple benefits from this valuable Science Day Program and also got the chance to learn about the wellbeing.
