The students of the Department of Mass Communication, Galgotias University won second prize in 52 hours film-making challenge “Filmithon 2023” organized by the School of Journalism and Film and Creative Arts, Lovely Professional University on 13th March 2023. Students from 16 cities participated in this event. Renowned journalist & filmmaker Vinod Kapri; Content Head at Indian Language OTT Platform-STAGE, Parvesh Rajput; and RJ Sameer from Red FM marked their presence on this occasion.
A total of three entries were sent to the film festival by the department of Mass Communication, at Galgotias University. Which one film won the second prize and got Rs.10000/ as a token of appreciation. The film was made on the issue of social media addiction by Ishaan Shrivastava, Medhya Gupta, Kartik Madan, Pratyush Ranjan, Vansh Kalra, Karan Sharma, Sparsh Kalra, Abhinav Khantwal, Mayank, and Aditi.
Prof. K Mallikarjun Babu, Vice-Chancellor, of Galgotias University appreciated students and conveyed messages about the ecosystem and practical approaches of the media and journalism. Mr. Dhruv Galgotia, CEO, Galgotias University also appreciated students and encouraged them to participate in the “Anhad film festivals 2023”. It will be organized by the department of mass communication on 10-11th April 2023.
NSS Unit 4, School of Nursing, Galgotias University organized a webinar on "World-Hearing Day". At the beginning of the webinar, Dr. SP Subhashini, Dean of Galgotia School of Nursing, and Dr. A. Ram Pandey, Dean of Mass Media Communication and coordinator of the program, Pranjali Mishra, an officer of NSS Unit-4, welcomed the invited keynote speaker Prof. Jaiwin Jai Singh J with a bouquet and inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp.
Professor Jaivin Jaisingh J. first threw light on the objectives and importance of the session. He made people aware of the health of ears and said that ears are important parts of our body. We should take special care of them.
If we are facing any problem with hearing, we should immediately consult a doctor on time, and proper treatment should be done at the right time. Otherwise, this disease can take a bigger form.
He further explained that there can be many reasons for hearing loss. For example, the noise of an industrial center, traffic or loud music for a long time, all these are huge reasons. Social and mental problems of a person also increases a lot due to hearing impairment.
To keep us healthy our hearing power is. The above reasons also have to be considered to lead a healthy life. Special precautions have to be taken.
The session was very informative and all the information was shared with the students. 200 students and 10 faculties specially participated in this event. The session ended with a question-answer session by the students.
The University is organizing PhD-Scholars – Supervisors Immersion Programme from 24th February to 4th March 2023 to enable -scholars, admitted Fall 2022-23 Session to interact with the available supervisors for their research work.

Students and NCC cadets of Galgotias University were selected for the 74th Republic Day, 2023 parade at Delhi’s rajpath. Nishant Kumar, School of Computer Science and Engineering, Basant Bhati, School of Liberal Education, Om Prakash, School of Basic and Applied Sciences were among 40 UP battalion of NCC sikanderabad. Sergent Khusi Kashyap, and Reva Panghel are student of School of Computer Science and Engineering and School of Business respectively from UP girls BN NCC were among the shortlisted students.
Vice Chancellor of Galgotias University, Dr. K Mallikarjuna Babu, encouraged all the students of NCC. During the official address, he said “its a pride moment for the Galgotias University that their students will be a part of the republic day parade and serve the nation in this manner”. With this, Mr. Dhruv Galgotia, CEO, Galgotias university also motivated the students to join the NCC and NSS for serving and fostering the nation. He also emphasized on the importance of these prestigious institutions in developing the life skills of students.
Mr. Dushyant Rana and Gargi Tyagi, NCC Training Officers of Galgotias University said that our students did hard work for getting selected in this parade and they are selected on the basis of their allover performance.
A workshop on PLC and SCADA was organised by the departments of electrical engineering, electronics, and communication engineering at University Polytechnic Campus-1 on 12th November 2022. In this workshop, students learned about the importance of PLCs and SCADAs in the present and future. They also learned how PLCs and SCADA work in automation in different types of industries. Students were also educated about the career opportunities in this sector.

Department of Pharmacy, Galgotias University, Greater Noida, had organized a National seminar on “World AIDS Day” on 01 Dec 2022. The main purpose of this seminar on World AIDS day is to spread awareness about the status of the pandemic, encourage progress in HIV/AIDA prevention, treatment, and care around the world. The theme of the World AIDS Day 2022 was Equalize.
The Seminar started with Saraswati Vandana. Ms. Neha Sharma Assistant Professor of Department of Pharmacy was hosting this seminar. She welcomed all the members present over there. Dr. Saurav Gurjar and Ms. Harshita Pandey (Chairperson/ Keynote Speaker) addressed the gathering on the topic of AIDS: The heard story, HIV, AND Prick needle injury respectively. Poster presentation and oral presentation were done. Ms. Jyoti Pandey (Pharmacy), Ms. Kimmi Gupta (CSE) and Ms. Kritika (Optometry) evaluated poster presentation based on their presentation and questioning. Dr. Saurav Gurjar evaluated oral presentation based on content, confidence and fluency. Total 11 students were participated in this event from pharmacy and optometry Department.

On the occasion of National Legal Services Day, Faculty and Students of Pro Bono Club, School of Law, Galgotias University conducted Legal Awareness program and a health rights and awareness camp at primary health centre, Dankaur , Gautam Budh Nagar. More than 80 students participated in this event under the leadership of Dean SOL, Prof. (Dr) Namita Singh Malik and Legal aid clinic coordinator Prof. ( Dr) N B Singh. To raise awareness on various legal issues including Basic Legal Rights, Social Welfare Schemes, and upcoming Lok Adalat. Students also performed skit on the theme of Domestic Violence and Right to Education.

The major objective and goal of the center is to provide the maximum possible academic and professional excellence for our students. In order to achieve this goal, the Centre has organized its first session on October 19, 2022 inviting Dr. Ann Thania Alex, a legal luminary on International Trade law.
This Expert talk with Dr. Ann Thania Alex was both informative and motivating. Dr. Alex is currently appointed as Additional Munsiff Magistrate at Kerala Judicial Services and is presently posted at Thrissur, Kerala. Dr. Alex pursued her Ph.D from NALSAR University of Law Hyderabad on Trade Restrictive Measures in International Trade Law. Dr. Thania delivered a very informative session and covered very relevant analytical points from the most relevant areas of current crime and human rights issues. She talked about the need to explore the international justice forums to affirm global justice. She explained various human rights issues and the need to have a human rights-based approach in war crimes, crimes against women, crimes against individuals and groups. She pointed out the examples of war crime in Ukraine, State murder of Mahasa Amini for not wearing the dress code of a state, Mob lynching in India, and treatment towards LGBTQs.
Moot Court Society (MCS) of School of Law, GALGOTIAS UNIVERSITY is pleased to organize a 'Moot Court Workshop' for the training the students in the art of mooting and advocacy skills. This Expert talk with Mr. Rodney D. Ryder and Mr. Nikhil Naren on October 20, 2022 was both informative and motivating. Dr. Namita Singh Malik, Dean of the School of Law, delivered the opening remarks. Mr. Rodney D. Ryder Sir, a Scriboard founding partner, was our first speaker. Mr. Nikhil Naren Sir, Chevening Scholar and Assistant Professor at Jindal Global Law School, was our second speaker. Rodney Sir spoke about artificial intelligence, robotics, and the legal system. Sir also discussed internet law and policy in terms of new media regulation and artificial intelligence. Sir then went on to talk about the chess machine. Sir also talked on the various sorts of intelligence and how different people have varying levels of intelligence. Sir continued by showing how AI does not think like humans.
University Polytechnic, Galgotias University Induction Programme New Session 2022-2023
Induction programme is an informative and educative program to groom and nurture young engineering students to mould fraternity in the days to come. The Induction Programme for the students of FIRST YEAR Galgotias Polytechnic was started on 26th September 2022 organized by Galgotias University (Campus-1).
The aim of the program was to give the students who are joining the college a bird’s eye view about various dimensions of engineering and the career opportunities for the engineering students and to acquaint them with the systems and procedures of the college. The idea was to make the students aware of their prospective opportunities and to show them the path they have adopt in order to become successful engineers.
The Programme started with the Saraswati Puja/Inauguration of Induction Program. The programme continued with the National Anthem followed by Lamp lighting.Principal Dr. Mohit Gaharwar welcomed the gathering with the speech about the Introduction about University Polytechnic & academic community. He advised the students to update their selves with recent technologies to survive in revolutionary and competitive era.
Further the session continues with presentation of different co-ordinators, Mentor-Mentee, GPTC Academics, International Students, Placements/Internships/Proctorial board, Annual Events, Exam Scheme, ERP & Annual Sports, LMS, Library, Research and Project presentations.
Lecture from Eminent Industry Experts, Yoga Session, Sports Activities, Heart fullness Sessions by HET were conducted.

On 08th October, 2022 “A Window to Turkish Culture and Society” Program was held at Galgotias University in Hybrid mode. The program was organized by Prof. (Dr.) Anuradha Parasar, Dean, School of Liberal Education, Galgotias University, Greater Noida.
Prof. (Dr.) Preeti Bajaj, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor and Ms. Aradhana Galgotia, Director Operations marked their presence in the interactive Session. Prof. (Dr.) Anuradha Parasar said in her address that in today’s time and age the only way to grow and flourish is to have more opportunities for interactions with many cultures and societies. It only broadens our perspectives and contributes towards developing holistic individuals of tomorrow.
The chief speaker for this session was Prof. (Dr.) Iryna Sekret (IATELS, Committee Chair of Turkey). She has been actively involved in a number of educational and research projects implemented in Europe and beyond with a vast experience in teaching and training in multicultural environments.
The session focused on the heterogenous culture of Turkey as it hosts unique blends of both traditional and modern conventions as well as religious and secular practices. The opportunities that Turkey has to offer to students were also discussed by Prof. Sekret in terms of research projects and various other academic opportunities such as the student culture exchange programs. She shed light upon the importance of Psychology in every profession of today’s world. The rising need for the subject in the work atmosphere and managerial practices.
Students from liberal education, management studies, science, maths and other departments of Galgotias university participated in the event in huge numbers, both offline and online. There were 100+ participants in this interactive session. Students asked many questions from the expert based on higher education opportunities and the student exchange program. The University Polytechnic Departments of Electrical Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering successfully conducted an industrial visit to electronica India 2022 at Expo Mart, Greater Noida on September 21, 2022. The Two Weeks Certificate Orientation Programme cum FDP “Introduction to European Studies: Concepts, Trends and Opportunities” being organised by School of Liberal Education, Galgotias University in collaboration with Jean Monnet Project, Jawaharlal Nehru University has been come to an end on 2nd September 2022. The certificate orientation programme has been held from 23rd August to 2nd September at Galgotias University, Greater Noida.
The inaugural session of the Orientation Programme was graced by the benign presence of dignitaries H.E. Seppo Nurmi, Deputy Head of Mission, Delegation of the European Union to India and H.E. Adam Burakowski, Polish Ambassador to India who highlighted the need to strengthen the strategic partnership between India and European Union. A Special lecture was delivered by Ambassador Shashank, Former Foreign Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India expressed his views on the emerging trends between Europe and Asia. Prof. Preeti Bajaj, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Galgotias University, and Ms. Aradhana Galgotia, Hon’ble Director of Operations welcomed the dignitaries and highlighted the importance of organizing emerging area studies program to strengthen New Education Policy and to provide a multidisciplinary learning on the various dimensions of contemporary European studies. Professor Srikanth Kondapalli from JNU gave extensive analysis of How EU-China strategic Relations form the contemporary discourse in International Politics; Former Ambassador Jitendra Nath Misra brought forth the contours of UK-India relation. The paradox that shapes the diplomatic relations between these two countries. Multiple challenges like Refugees crisis, crisis of immigration policy at the EU have been dealt with by the excellent presentation of Dr. Sheetal Sharma. Yet more appealing sessions have been delivered by Prof. Sreeram Chaulia, Dean on Jindal School of International Affairs, O.P Jindal Global University; Prof. Gulshan Sachdeva, Centre for European Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, and Professor Harsh V. The faculty from School of Liberal education namely Dr. Paroma Sen, Dr. Pratyush Bibhakar, Waseem Akber Baba, Dr. Apeksha Singh, Dr. Ishrat Jahan, Dr. Gaurika Chugh has been extensively involved in organising the orientation programme.
