HOD’s Message
Circuit branches are the backbone of today's technological world. Engineers of circuit branches conceive, design, implement, test, and realize all kinds of Electrical, Electronics and Communication devices. These are the backbone of the profession and work in every industry from transportation, telecommunications, energy, and electronics to bioengineering, commerce, and manufacturing. Because of these engineers revolution in the engineering world started i.e. Industry 4.0. CBCS has been implemented in true sense by the department.
The Department established since the inceptions of the Galgotias University in 2011. The Department offers B.Tech in three different branches (Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Electrical Engineering) M.Tech. in three different specializations (Power Systems Engineering, Communication Engineering and VLSI) and Ph.D. in (Electrical Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering. In addition to the above department also offers major and minor courses on the followings: Electric Vehicle, Internet of Things, Robotics and Automation, Embedded Systems and Bio-medical Engineering. Presently around 250 students have been registered in different programs.
Department comprises broadly four Research groups namely Communication & Networking, Embedded and IoT, Power Electronics & Renewable energy and Power Systems and Control. Department has published more than 500 research papers in international journals and conferences. In addition to the above the department is continuously organizing world class International conferences such as, GUCON-2018, GUCON-2019, GUCON-2020, ICEEE-2020, ICEEE-2021 and ICACIT-2021. Students from this department get placed in almost all major companies such as TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Vivo, Airtel, Cognizant, Tech-Mahindra, Ericson etc..
The Department of Electrical, Electronics and Communication Engineering is headed by Dr.Swaminathan Ramamurthy who has long Teaching and Industrial experience of over 15 years in various International Universities and Industries. The faculty members of the department belongs to diversified field and studied at premier institutes of India, such as, IITs, NITs and Central Universities etc.
